Ingredients
8oz plain flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon caster sugar
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 tablespoon butter
1 banana (peeled and mashed)
oil for frying
Method
Sift flour and salt, add sugar and poppy seeds.
Rub in butter and banana and enough water to make a soft dough.
Roll out thinly and cut in to strips, then cut diagonally into small
diamonds. Prick with a fork. Heat oil and fry until golden brown
and crisp. Drain and allow to cool.
